Bhrikuti Rai

Hey, I’m Bhrikuti!

My School of Splice goal

I’m learning how to build a podcast festival in Nepal for the community.

I’m the co-founder of Boju Bajai, a feminism podcast. I’m based in Kathmandu. Connect with me on LinkedIn.

Rishad and Alan of Splice are coaching me on my SOS journey.

In this program, I’m learning

  1. How to think about branding an event

  2. How to articulate what our event is meant to achieve in terms of a “job description” and outcome

  3. How these support our stated mission

What I’ll need to do

Write a job description for the event. What do I want our attendees to get out of this? (“This festival is meant to help this community _______.”)

I’ll test program ideas with our audiences, eg. podcasters, journalists, grant-makers, and NGOs, by asking them to vote on them.

I’ll build an event landing page that does a specific job. What’s my call to action?

I’ll create a user journey for audience signups (“How will they find out about this? What do I want them to do when they come across this — feedback, signups, donations, partnerships, etc.”)

I’ll test a simple prototype with my users (“Who do I show this to? What remaining questions do I need answered?”)

I’ll improve on the prototype. I’ll go back, make the changes they asked for. What will solve that problem they told me they have, eg. knowledge, networking, access to funding.

I’ll improve on the prototype (“What changes do I need to make to my plan?”)
