Why we Beta
This is our third Splice Beta. Our mission remains the same: to help you build a viable media business. We believe that the most enduring transformation of this industry can only come through the work of media startups and creators. Our job is to champion them, coach them, and connect them with the wider global media ecosystem. That’s the promise of this community.
A school for a modern media ecosystem
Someone once told me that “to encourage change in your organisation, you will have to start with things that are visible.” As the Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Chiang Mai University, I’m proud to have you all at our new building: the Communication and Innovation Center. Welcome.
Rediscovering home
Unlike me, most Burmese have vivid attachments to home, culture, and social community. I had to leave my home — and lose my home — in order to find it again.
Creating a home
I guess I’ve always been unconsciously in love with that hectic, busy, noisy, rushed city because I had to cry on the way to the airport on the day I left. I thought, I don’t know when I’ll be able to set foot on this land again.
