The pandemic upended newsroom operations around the globe. Traditional in-person workflows were rushed into digital ones, forcing new remote working skills practically overnight.

Together with our friends at Fojo, we're taking a look at the lessons learned by journalists in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam in this new phase of newsroom operations. We’ll discuss the different skills gaps, what changes some of them have made to fill these, and what can be done to more fresh know-how into newsrooms.

Bangkok-based media trainer and journalist Johanna Son is our guest moderator for this session. She runs Reporting ASEAN and wrote Fojo's newly released learning and training kit for online journalism and storytelling.
